A PRAYER FOR SOLDIERS
Gracious God, I pray for our soldiers. Let your grace be a protective shield, guarding them from harm and keeping them close to your love and compassion. May I always remember that they are the ones who face the horrors and dangers of war first-hand. Help us honor them for their courage and care for them when there is damage to their bodies or spirit. When they are lonely and afraid, and long to be with those whom they love, fill their hearts with the sure knowledge of your presence at all times, in war and peace. Let them feel, O God, deep in their hearts, that your love is always there—boundlessly, unconditionally, and eternally. Amen.

We pray to God that He will open your eyes to that which He has ordained and planned for your life. Many are the plans of a man, but it is the counsel of God that prevails. May God order your steps into His counsel in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen
A PRAYER BEFORE SURGERY
Strengthen me, O God, to do what I have to do and bear what I have to bear; that, accepting your healing gifts through the skill of surgeons and nurses, I may be restored to usefulness in your world with a thankful heart; and this I pray. Amen.
AFTER SURGERY
O Lord, your compassions never fail and your mercies are new every morning: I give you thanks for relief from pain and for the hope of health renewed. Continue, we pray, the good work you have begun in me; that I, daily increasing in bodily strength, and rejoicing in your goodness, may so order my life and conduct that I may always think and do those things that please you; through the mercy of your love I pray. Amen.
